The motif on the commemorative coin features the portrait of the Croatian writer Marko Marulic, whose literary heritage has a historical and cultural relevance for the Republic of Croatia, which was the main motif on the obverse side of the 500-kuna banknote. The national side of the commemorative coin features the main motif of the portrait of Marko Marulic. In addition to the main motif, the coin also features the inscriptions: the symbol for the Republic of Croatia "HR", the year of issuance "2024." and the name and surname of Marko Marulic "MARKO MARULIC", which are inscribed along the coin’s core.
