Commemorative 2-euro coin “1.100 th Anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom and the Coronation of King Tomislav”. The motifs on the commemorative coin depict King Tomislav, who was crowned Croatian king in 925. This year 2025 marks the beginning of the highly significant 1,100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom, which holds profound historical and cultural meaning for the Croatia. The depiction of the monument to King Tomislav was one of the central motifs on the reverse side of the former 1,000 kuna banknote. The author of the design for the national side is Nikola Vudrag, Bachelor of Arts in Sculpture, and the coin was minted by the Croatian Mint Ltd. Tomislav is a national hero and a symbol of Croatian unity and independence. The central square in Zagreb is named King Tomislav Square.
