El diseño presenta el retrato de Perugino y un detalle de El bautismo de Cristo, fresco de la Capilla Sixtina en el Vaticano. En la parte superior, a la derecha, en semicírculo, figura la inscripción «CITTÀ DEL VATICANO». En la parte inferior, figura la inscripción «PERUGINO» y, debajo, las fechas «1523-2023». A la izquierda, está la marca de ceca «R». En la corona circular de la moneda figuran las doce estrellas de la bandera europea.
