The Earth’s globe also appears, symbolising the geopolitical importance of Cyprus and its contribution to people’s peace and prosperity. The building appears graphically stylised, emphasising the strong symbolism of the European Union. The coin has been designed by George Stamatopoulos and was minted at the Printing Works Department of the Bank of Greece.
