Designed by the Italian painter and architect Nicolau Nasoni, the Torre dos Clerigos is the “ex-libris” of the city of Porto. It’s the highest tower in Portugal, with six floors, 225 steps and 75 meters high. From the top of the Tower you can see almost the entire city of Porto from the Douro River to Foz so, it’s really worth a visit for an amazing panoramic sightseeing of the city. Its construction began in 1754 and was completed in 1763. So, this year Porto celebrates its 250 anniversary with a serie of events during 2013.
